About 3 days ago, I could not start the program properly. From then on, it wouldn’t open. I have tried to uninstall it then re-install it again with no avail. It would not uninstall. I have also tried to Repair it using the disc, but it won’t repair either.

When I try to open it, the yellow rectangle that has “Microsoft Office Word ” appears, then disappears immediately afterwards. After a few tries, it says “Microsoft Word is not responding” and asks you either to “Wait for the program to respond” or ” Close the program”.

I have tried both, but immediately after that too, the “Word is trying to find a solution to your problem” window closes. The next try, it says “Microsoft Word failed to start correctly last time” and asks you to try and start it in Safe Mode. I have clicked OK and NO, but the window just closes either way after. I have tried downloading the Fix-It program from the Microsoft website, but it didn’t work either.

I have been running Windows 10 for some time with no problems using Microsoft Word Suddenly today Word will not open.

Office transferred OK. Word working fine for a while. Had to purchase a new printer Canon ip at orfice time of upgrade as no Win 10 compatible drivers were available for my old printer. Printer Driver showing as at version 2. Your advice above is to remove printer drivers – which I do and every time MS Word springs back into life have been round this loop 3 times now.
